Turn on the Green Light
(When You Realize Something More is Possible)
“It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then” – Alice In Wonderland
As we journey through this wonderful thing called life, we come to realize that each person has a unique set of skills and gifts. Yet, it seems that after a time, we lose the key and keep locked the full potential of who we are. You know that feeling. “Really, is this all there is?”, “Could I do more?”, “Why do I feel so incomplete?” It is that feeling that comes with time and transition. It shows up with a divorce, death of a loved one, becoming an empty nester. It is the acknowledgement that one’s career and personal goals really are not very fulfilling. So how do you reflect the person you were meant to be and that you have envisioned in the rear view mirror?
The Alice in Wonderland quote characterizes how the journey with a credentialed coach is very different from hiring a therapist, counselor, mentor or consultant. The coaching partnership is about forward movement and can provide the tools necessary to bring that vision back to life and express the unique skills, gifts of who you are. In therapy and counseling, the practitioner counsels their client to relieve or heal a disorder, often exploring the past with the client. In consulting or mentoring, the client is advised on what to do to solve their problems.
A well trained, credentialed life coach, unlike the above helping professionals, partners with the client to empower full potential directed towards the future. The client explores their capabilities and what is possible. This partnership welcomes who you are now while allowing for an exploration to evaluate the “red lights” you have put on yourself that prevent and stand in the way of your ability to achieve your full potential. This creates the framework for what is possible for you to evaluate who you want to be in your relationships and career. You are switching the stops – the “red lights” – to the green “go ahead” lights.
A powerful coaching session affords the client the means to turn the “green light” on. All those dreams that were left on the table are rekindled providing a more complete and satisfying life. What’s most important in your coaching session is that you are the driver! What an opportunity to unlock your deepest passions in both your personal and professional goals! Don’t wait for others to provide you with that “green light”. Be empowered to turn it on yourself!
A well qualified coach can, with insightful questions, partner to bring out your passions, goals and dreams for a more exciting life. The best is yet to come. Don’t live in the past version of yourself. You have the opportunity now to fulfill who you want to be, to hit only green lights. Sure, you may need to map out the journey you want to take, so EYHLifeCoach invites you to share your thoughts and to take a half hour complimentary trip to explore what is possible, to rekindle those dreams and to move forward towards the best life ever. Happy Travels!
